Our Objectives

As a non-profit institution, Shaheed Smarak Agra is guided by the following core objectives.

Preserve Their Memory

Maintain and safeguard the memory and legacy of the martyrs of the Indian freedom struggle for present and future generations.

Maintain the Smarak

Develop and maintain the Shaheed Smarak memorial in Agra as a place of remembrance, reflection and learning.

Educate the Youth

Spread awareness among students and the public about the sacrifices of freedom fighters through talks, publications and outreach programmes.

Commemorate Martyrs

Observe an annual calendar of remembrance days and events honouring individual martyrs of the freedom movement.

Publish & Archive

Bring out Shaheed Smarak publications and preserve historical writings, including the essays of Bhagat Singh, for research and study.

Conserve Artifacts

Collect and conserve photographs, documents and artifacts connected to the freedom struggle for the image gallery and archive.
